Where's the Love, man...?

Where's the Love?

The Black Eyed Peas have some profound wisdom in this song about everyday life... Pictures and words set to the song illustrate the real message and the search for love.

We all ask some vitally important questions every day, but are afraid to let anyone know we are asking them. We want to know if people value us, if we matter, if we are loved, how we are loved and do we love ourselves? All of these questions are asked simply by the way we hold our heads and how we live...

Jesus answers these questions emphatically to those he came into contact with. Mark 10:46-52 depicts Jesus encountering a man seeking love, healing and acceptance.

Students can identify with the hurt that goes along with being outcast if we can find a way to help them see themselves being outcast. How have you been an outcast? Use your life to speak truth to theirs...

What is true Freedom like?

The clip features small shots from the movie "The BreakUp"...

I used this clip to re-enforce a message on love, acceptance and how pain is caused by our fears... It was awesome to watch kids listen to a song they recognized and see a movie they had seen - but through new eyes when engulfed with a message about the giver of Freedom.
